Introduction

The Bay Area in California is home to several hundred NITK Alumni Bay Area Chapter (NABAC) and is growing in strength every year. The Alumni have been reaching out to each other since 1992 when the first initiative started. Since then the alumni have been having meetings every few years. Up until now, these gatherings have been social and enjoyable to the alumni community.

Recently, in the fall of 2005, a more serious initiative started on formally organizing the Alumni into a hierarchical structure that takes into account the various needs of our community.

Vision

The Bay Area Alumni Chapter has a vision of growing a strong community of NITKians who will find opportunities to express their mutual interests in an informal atmosphere. It aims to recreate the sociable NITK ambience, while striving towards individual improvement through collaboration.

The community allows for any member, with specific interests to come forth to share and expand his interests among the alumni.

Leadership

The organization has ample opportunities to showcase your leadership. The councils are in need of enthusiatic members who wish to take an active part in leading and driving council activities. Please email Srinivas Hanabe if you are interested in any such positions.
